WINNER Standard & Poor's Australian Fund Awards 2005 - Boutique Fund Manager of the Year
WINNER Standard & Poor's Australian Fund Awards 2005 - Australian Equities
Prime Value Asset Management Limited was recognised once again by being named the Boutique Fund Manager of the Year at the Standard & Poor's (S&P) Fund Awards for the second consecutive year.
Standard & Poor's Managing director Chris Dalton said he was delighted to recognise the best performers across the Australian funds management industry. "On behalf of Standard & Poor's, I'd like to congratulate all the finalists and winners in this year's S&P Fund Awards. Now in its third year in Australia, Standard & Poor's is committed to making its awards program the one that is coveted most highly by the industry."
The S&P Awards are important in that they recognise not just performance but risk-adjusted returns. The group award takes into account the overall fund results of the group to identify the most consistent relative performance. Winning the award for a second year running is a further endorsement of the consistency of Prime Value's performance.
In 2005, Prime Value also took out the Australian Equities award. This award was based on consistent performance under risk/return analysis across 1-year and 3-year rolling periods

Money Management gave full credit to Prime Value at their Fund Manager of the Year Awards for 2005, who were a finalist in both the Rising Star and Australian equities category.
"We liked them because of their commitment to business principles," says Veronica Grullo, S&P Associate Director. "They've got a huge amount of money invested in both the organisation and their own funds. They also have a commitment to getting on board the very senior people to help with the management of Australian equities and that has involved them bringing in Leanne Pan and Fiona Clark, two very experienced people."
